Sacramento native Intempus drops a downtempo electronic EP called "The Drive Up North" that's inspired by the scenery of the journey across California from Los Angeles to Sacramento.

Now Los Angeles based, Intempus created The Drive Up North as a sort of homage to the 5 1/2 hour drive across California. With driving bass tracks like "I-5" and mellow melodic lines like in "Sacramento", you can expect to be taken on a nostalgic sonic trip listening to this EP. "There's so much to look at as you drive across California. I started writing the songs in my head inspired by the scenery during a trip back to Sac and couldn't wait to get back in LA to play it all in." The self-produced, mixed and mastered EP shows off his Pretty Lights-esque musical style, with strong melody lines and mesmerizing sound design. The Drive Up North is his first original EP.
